Allison Rihn is originally from a suburb of Houston, Texas. She moved to NYC to peruse her career as a professional dancer/singer/actor. She has performed at various theaters across the country. She discovered Pilates while trying to rehabilitate from dance injuries. She quickly fell in love with the method and its healing qualities. Allison is a Kane School graduate. She studied under the founder Kelly Kane. She is excited to share her love of Pilates with you and to get your body moving and strong!


Q: What is your favorite healthy snack and favorite meal?
AR: My favorite healthy snack is a juice from Pressed. My favorite meal is my mom’s stuffed flounder. She makes it every Christmas Eve. Delicious!

Q: What is your favorite skincare line right now and do you have a routine that you would like to share? Most essential skin care tip? Answer any or all of the above!
AR: I use Keihls. I love the brand! The facial products I use vary from spring/summer to fall/winter. Their hand salve is my favorite. It’s unscented and the moisture holds better than any other lotion I’ve found. My essential skin care tip is wash your face every night and moisturize, moisturize, moisturize!!! 🙂

Q: Do you have a wellness secret?
AR: My secret is simple. I listen to my body. It will tell you what it needs. The trick is learning the difference between a craving and what it needs.

Q: What is your favorite meal to cook?
AR: My favorite meal to make is a nice stew in the winter.

Q: What are some activities you like to do outside of Pilates?
AR: I love to explore the city and visit historical sites. We live in an amazing city! So much to see and do.

Q: Did you always have an interest in health and wellness?
AR: Yes! I started dance at age 3 and never stopped. So the physical side of wellness has always been a part of my life. Food wise, I grew up with vegetable and herb gardens in the back and berry bushes. Often what was on our plates was from the garden.

Q: What do you typically eat for breakfast?
AR: Coffee and something with eggs. I like to change it up a lot, so my taste buds don’t get bored.

Q: What is your favorite indulgence?
AR: Pizza for sure.

Q: What are three essential items you have in your bag?
AR: Bottle of water, hand sanitizer, and some kind of snack (I’ve been stranded on subways too many times hungry. I’m prepared now.)
